Workflows--the view from above


"Workflows" require that your changes be approved before they get published by one of the SOM “Approvers.”

Underlying the whole workflow are the three steps toward publication in Cascade (save, submit, publish). In the broadest view, workflows have three major steps::
  1. Before the workflow
    1. You can save your work, but it is only available to you or in draft mode.
  2. After entering the workflow there are three basic steps to the workflow:
    1. You decide whether you want to submit (for approval) or save (to edit some more).
    2. Your approver will decide whether to approve, reject, or send back for changes.
    3. Your approver publishes or rejects and the workflow completes.
