 211 offers free telephone and online resources that can help you find state or local health and human services to address urgent needs or everyday concerns.

Hotlines provided by the state of NJ are available for inquiries and concerns related to abuse, addiction, child services, disability, health, housing resources, and more.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress. 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

NJ Assistance website lists resources for housing, employment, auto, health, nutrition, and legal services.

NJ Children and Family Services such as licensed child care centers and information about child safety and adoption can be found on this site.

NJ Energy Assistance Programs assist eligible low-income households with paying for heating and cooling bills.

NJ Foster Care Scholars Program provides educational funding for eligible youth who are seeking a post-secondary degree.

NJ Grants and Scholarships such as the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) and NJ STARS are available to eligible students living in NJ. Visit the HESAA website for more information.

NJ SNAP (formerly Food Stamps) is a supplemental nutrition assistance program that assists low-income families with paying for groceries. NJ SNAP Hotline: 1-800-687-9512.

South Jersey Legal Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization created to provide quality legal representation and advocacy to low-income individuals.

WorkFirst NJ (NJ's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families- TANF) promotes self-sufficiency through education, job training, and other work-related activities.

Family Promise of Gloucester County offers homeless families an opportunity to achieve stability by providing shelter, food, case management, and access to local resources.

Gloucester County Division of Social Services can assist families and adults with a variety of services including employment support activities, Medicaid, and food and cash assistance.

Lifeline Support for Affordable Communications can help make communication services, such as telephone and broadband, more affordable for eligible low-income consumers.

Samaritan Center can assist Glassboro residents with economic difficulties by providing free food once per month. They also offer the option to purchase clothing for a very low cost.
