Re-enrollment is for former Rowan University students who lost their active enrollment status before completing their major programs or receiving their bachelor’s degree. The re-enrollment process can also be used for Rowan graduates seeking a second bachelor’s degree. If interested, complete our re-enrollment form below!

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I check my GPA and credit progress?
Students who fill out the re-enrollment request form and are readmitted to the university will gain access to the Self-Service Banner. There, they can review their academic transcript, GPA, and outstanding degree requirements for their major. Students may also receive an official or unofficial transcript before re-enrolling. If interested, please contact Tiffany Delesandro.
What can I do about a low GPA?
Students with a GPA below good academic standing (2.0) can still re-enroll. Please contact the Assistant Director of University Advising Services to discuss student records and options for re-enrollment. To learn more, visit our GPA forgiveness page.
It's been years since I last studied at Rowan. Does my major still exist?
Students will work with the Assistant Director of University Advising Services to determine if their previous major is still available. If not, we will work with the student to find a new major. If you have any more questions before applying, please contact us.
Can I change majors? How?
Students can change majors during the re-enrollment process. If the major is listed as restricted, students will need to meet the minimum academic requirements. If you have any questions regarding your major of interest, please contact the Assistant Director of University Advising Services.
Who do I talk to about financial assistance?
After their return, re-entrants should follow up with the Financial Aid Office to discuss financial assistance at this link. Or, email financialaid@rowan.edu.
What is the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)?
The BGS program is Rowan’s most flexible option to complete a bachelor’s degree. Students are encouraged to contact the Assistant Director of University Advising Services to receive approval for the change in major. Admission to the Bachelor of General Studies program requires a minimum of 75 completed credits.
I have taken classes at another university since leaving Rowan. How can I get credit for those courses?
If you have attended any other institution since leaving Rowan, you must submit your official transcripts to the Registrar’s Office. Visit this page to learn how. For any questions, please call 856-256-4350 or visit the Registrar's Office on the first floor of Savitz Hall.
What if I am pursuing a second degree?
Students who graduated from Rowan University with their primary bachelor's degree and want to pursue a second bachelor's degree can apply for re-enrollment here.
I only want to take select classes. Should I fill out the re-enrollment form?
Students who only want to take select classes should fill out the visiting (non-matriculated) student form.
I want to start taking classes, but the semester already began. Do I have to wait? Or is there a late-start period?
Students can be admitted for late-start courses, although selection is limited. Please contact the Assistant Director of University Advising Services to discuss this further.
Garden State Guarantee
Signed into legislation in 2021, the Garden State Guarantee is a financial aid program that provides tuition assistance to eligible New Jersey students enrolled at Rowan University (or other four-year public NJ universities). This program aims to cover (or reduce) the net cost of tuition and fees for eligible students.
Consideration for this program is easy and there is no separate application required! Submitting your FAFSA or NJ Alternative Application is the first step for us to review your eligibility for this award.
