Saturday Placement Testing – Sign Up Today!

Join us in person at the Rowan University Testing Center.
Space is limited, and appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Testing sessions start as early as 9am and as late as 1pm.

Available Saturday Dates:

March: 15, 22, 29
April: 5, 19, 26
May: 24, 31
June: 7, 14, 28

Important: For First-Year students, June testing dates fall after the deadline for Fall 2025 enrollment. Attending a June session does not guarantee that a course schedule will be established in time for Summer Welcome Days.

Placement Tests

Placement tests play a key role in determining your course placement, ensuring you stay on track academically while avoiding unnecessary coursework. Requirements depend on your Test-Optional status, SAT/ACT scores, transfer credits, and declared major.

Placement tests are required for:

  • Certain Majors – Click on the individual placement test options below for more details.
  • Test-Optional Students – Mandatory for all test-optional applicants; SAT/ACT scores cannot be submitted later to bypass the placement testing requirement.
  • First-Year Students – Your advisor cannot create your schedule without placement test scores.
  • Transfer Students – You cannot register until your advisor receives your scores.

Priority Completion Timeframe: Must be completed within 30 days of accepting admission and 14 business days before Summer Welcome Days.

Enrollment Deadline for Placement Testing

  • Fall Admission: Must be completed by June 1st.
  • Spring Admission: Deadline has passed. Complete as soon as possible. 
 
Important: Testing Services does not waive placement testing requirements. Exemptions require official transcripts or score reports sent to Rowan University Admissions and/or to Rowan Unversity Registrar's Office.
