ACCUPLACER Math Placement Test

Description of Test
  • The Accuplacer Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics Placement Test was developed by College Board to measure your preparedness for college level mathematics. There are 20 multiple choice questions. Scrap paper and a pencil may be used throughout the test, and an on-screen calculator will be displayed for any problems that allow it. The test is administered without a fee at Rowan University’s Testing Center on the Glassboro Campus, or can be taken remotely for a proctoring fee of $12. If multiple Accuplacer placement tests are required, they can be taken in one appointment without additional fees. Scrap paper and a pencil may be used throughout the test, and an on-screen calculator will be displayed for any problems that allow it. The test is administered without a fee at Rowan University’s Testing Center on the Glassboro Campus, or can be taken remotely for a proctoring fee of $12. Accuplacer Math Exemptions


If you are in one of the majors below, you are exempt from Accuplacer Mathematics placement testing if your SAT/ACT scores are equal to or higher than the scores as follows:

OLD SAT* Math 600
NEW SAT* Math 620
ACT Math 27

Or if you transferred a college level Pre-Calculus or Calculus course.

* OLD SAT refers to SAT Tests taken prior to March 1, 2016, NEW SAT refers to SAT Tests taken after March 1, 2016
