ACCUPLACER Next Generation Reading

ACCUPLACER Next Generation Reading

Description of Test

  • The Accuplacer Next Generation Reading test was developed by College Board to measure your ability to gain meaning from a variety of text types and to determine the meaning of words and phrases in the context of a passage. There are 20 multiple choice questions and there is no time limit to complete it, although most people finish within about 45 minutes. The test is administered without a fee at Rowan University’s Testing Center on the Glassboro Campus, or can be taken remotely for a proctoring fee of $12. If multiple Accuplacer placement tests are required, they can be taken in one appointment without additional fees. All incoming students must take this placement test, unless they meet one of the exemptions listed in the Frequently Asked Questions.
