Celebrating Diversity in Career and Professional Development
Celebrating Diversity in Career and Professional Development
The OASIS team values diversity and we strive to help our students find meaningful employment with employers who recognize and understand the unique abilities that everyone brings to the workforce. We also want to help you find partners and champions throughout your professional development journey and learn how to be intentional in your job search.
Utilize these resources to learn about networking and job search opportunities, make the most of your job search, and find inclusive organizations/employers.
Student and Professional Associations
Student associations are a great way to network, learn, and connect. Many organizations offer workshops and career events. Larger groups attached to national organizations may have extensive websites with career sections, offer conferences and events, and provide long-term membership opportunities after graduation. Check out ProfLink for more information about the wide variety of student organizations available to the Rowan community
Professional associations offer long-term career advice, social events, and networking opportunities. There are many that work to advance a particular group or special interest, and there is truly a group out there for everyone. The US Department of Labor maintains a Professional Association Finder. Use this resource to find and join a professional association that will help you move forward in your career.
