Academic Improvement Program
Undergraduate students who have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) below 2.0 and have been placed on Academic Notice will be enrolled in the Academic Improvement Program (AIP). AIP is a supportive program intended to help students get back on track and into Good Academic Standing.
Students placed on Academic Notice will meet with an Academic Support Coordinator to discuss obstacles hindering their academic success and learn about resources available to help. Additional requirements of the Academic Improvement Program (AIP) are outlined in a zero-credit Canvas course.

What students have shared about AIP
"...The program does a great job with communicating the resources and services that are available. Rowan really does give all the help someone could need for being on academic notice"
"What I found most helpful about the Academic Improvement Program is all the resources it offers. From mental health support to stress relief tools, the program really gives you ways to manage both school and life. I also appreciated the constant reminders to check in with the people (Advisor, professors, etc.) I need to and the connections I was able to make through the program really made a difference in keeping me on track."
"It [AIP] gives me motivation to do better and keep my grades up, and also forced me to do my work on time..."
"They [Academic Support Coordinators] care about every student's success."
"Honestly, I am grateful for this program because it kept me on the ball throughout the semester. I know what situation I am in and knew I needed someone in my ear to ensure that I didn't go off course and become lazy. My meetings with my advisor boosted my confidence throughout the semester and reminded me that my success in the present can definitely outshine my mistakes in the past. I carried that with me through these months, especially when morale was low."
"How much they [Academic Support Coordinators] cared about me and how active they are at making sure I'm progressing in school and life."
"I found that the Academic Improvement Program to be a great guiding source without being too mundane or over the top. It provides resources and tips as well as an additional support staff that is able to provide insight and answer questions more aligned to where your current standings are and help you to understand the next steps in a clear and concise way."
