-
Schedule Testing Center Appointments
- Use your course syllabus to schedule your tests, quizzes, and exams in the AIM system at least 5 business days in advance.
- If testing dates change during the semester, update your appointments in AIM. Any changes to the date or time require your professor’s permission.
- Email your professor to request approval for changes and copy accommodatedtesting@rowan.edu to keep the Testing Center informed.
-
Confirm with Your Professor
- Before your scheduled testing appointment, confirm with your professor that they have uploaded the necessary proctoring instructions and materials to the AIM system.
-
Stay Organized
- Utilize a planner or online calendar to ensure you don’t miss any scheduled tests.
How do I know what date and time to choose to schedule the appointment?
Schedule your Testing Center appointment as close as possible to the same day and time as the class test, without missing another class.
For example, if your class tests at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, schedule your appointment from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM if you have a time-and-a-half accommodation. If this conflicts with another class, choose the closest available time, such as starting at 1:00 PM to finish by 3:00 PM. Ensure the test is taken on the same day, the day before, or the day after the class test. Communicate with your professor if this is not possible.
I have to schedule my test at least 5 business days in advance, right?
Yes, the 5-business-day requirement excludes Saturdays and Sundays.
The count begins from the date the class is scheduled to take the test.
Requests made after 4:30 PM EST count as the next business day (e.g., a request at 4:31 PM on Monday is considered a Tuesday request, with the earliest booking available on Wednesday of the following week).
What if the professor changes the date of the test after I have scheduled an appointment?
That’s no problem!
Email us at accommodatedtesting@rowan.edu, copy the professor on the email, and let us know the day and time you’d need to take the test. We will work with you to reschedule your appointment.
What if I am sick or need to change the appointment for some other reason?
Although we administer the tests here in the Testing Center, we are not able to give you permission to change your appointment. You should email your professor to get permission to change your appointment and then forward that email to the Testing Center at accommodatedtesting@rowan.edu with your request. Once we have permission from the professor, we will work with you to reschedule your appointment.
