Biography
Hi everyone! My name is Quiana Mendez Santana, but you can call me Qui. I was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and I’m proud to be Dominican and a first-generation student. I’m excited to serve as the new Graduate Coordinator for Housing Systems and Logistics, where I oversee the safety and management of campus keys. Instead of one set building, I like to say that Rowan as a whole is the area I help maintain.
I’m beginning my first year of graduate school, pursuing a degree in Diversity and Inclusion. I previously earned my bachelor’s degree in Law and Justice with a minor in Psychology here at Rowan. My long-term career goal is to attend law school and eventually open my own private practice, with a focus on either Criminal Defense or Family Law.
My journey with Rowan’s housing community started during my sophomore year when I served as a Resident Assistant at Rowan Boulevard Apartments. I later transitioned into a Housing Prep Assistant role, where I worked for three years before stepping into my current position.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue building our Rowan community and look forward to working alongside my amazing colleagues and meeting students across campus. Go Profs!
