Requesting/Selecting Roommate

The Roommate Matching Process for Spring 2025 is NOW OPEN! 

NOTE: The roommate process is only available to new and returning students currently not residing on campus. 

 If you are interested in selecting specific students as your roommate(s), you must submit the request by: 

1. Logging into www.go.rowan.edu/myhousing
2. Then click, "Room Selection/Roommate Matching"
3. Click, “Select Roommate”
4. Select the term in the drop-down options 
5. Click on the "Search for Roommate" Tab
6. Enter the student's first and last name 
7. Review search results and select the correct student (results will only show students who have completed applications for the term)

If you are planning on mutually matching with individuals who have a different gender than you, all group members must ensure they are opted into gender-inclusive housing. All members should have selected "yes" for question 9 on the Housing Application & Intention Form. This confirms that you agree to live in a gender-inclusive housing option.

If all group members have not opted in, you will not be permitted to select together during room selection.

 Can't find your eligible roommate match? Be sure you and your desired roommates' profiles are public. 

• Go to "Personal Information"
• Select "Roommate Profile"
• Under "Profile Privacy" ensure that "Do Not Display Me" is not selected

You may also search for potential roommates by searching for specific criteria entered on the housing application. To use this method:

1. Follow steps 1-5 above
2. Search for students based on application preferences
3. Review search results and select the desired student(s)

Important Reminders:

• Be sure to accept/deny any pending roommate matching requests. 
• Students who do not select a roommate match will be paired up with other students who share like interests and did not match.
