MANDATORY HOUSING: Full time, unmarried undergraduates under age 21 with fewer than 58 credits are required to live in University Housing, unless they will be commuting from a parent or guardian’s home within 40 miles of the Rowan campus. Please note, this policy was suspended during the 2020-2021 academic year due to state regulations related to the pandemic. However, those regulations have been rescinded and this policy will be in effect during the 2021-2022 academic year. More information can be found here.

FALL 2021 MOVE-IN: The first day of classes for the fall 2021 semester will be Wednesday, September 1st.  Move in for the fall semester will take place over several days prior to the start of classes. Specific plans for the fall 2021 move in are not yet finalized due to a need for the University to review updated New Jersey state regulatory standards for higher education institutions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once updated standards have been released, our office will update this page with detailed information about the move-in process.

While we await updated standards, students and families should expect move-in to occur sometime between August 25th and August 31st, 2021. At this time, we cannot confirm a specific date for any student to move in. We appreciate your patience with us while we await updated information from state regulatory authorities.

University departments and groups that traditionally schedule early move-in for training and other on-campus activities that begin prior to the start of the fall semester must obtain approval from Residential Learning and University Housing before confirming any move-in date for their students. Updated information about the early move-in process will be announced as soon as details are available.
