Please note that it may not be possible to approve all extension requests based on the location of your spring housing assignment and the operational need to have the buildings vacant by the posted closing date. Extension requests should be limited to only very extenuating circumstances, which still may not be possible to accommodate.
Please note that any request approved to remain on campus beyond May 9th at 12:00 PM will incur a $150 late stay fee. This charge will be applied to your student account and covers the extended occupancy period. All requests must be submitted and approved in advance. Remaining on campus without prior approval may result in additional charges and/or disciplinary action.
Residents should plan to vacate their spring assignment by the closing dates posted above.

Summer Housing Residents (with completed summer housing application starting May 16)
Summer Housing Information
If you are a current Spring 2026 resident and have applied for summer housing with a start date of May 16th, you will be able to move into your summer housing assignment on Saturday, May 16th, between 8 AM and 2 PM.
**If, for any reason, your summer assignment is not ready for move-in on May 16th, you will be allowed to remain in your Spring assignment until the summer space is available. This will be communicated to you by RLUH staff via your Rowan email.**
You will be permitted to remain in your Spring 2026 housing assignment as a late check-out extension, provided that you have a processed summer housing application and have received your summer housing assignment information, with a summer housing start date of May 16th. If your summer housing will start after May 16th, you are expected to vacate your Spring housing assignment by May 9th. There is no need to submit a separate check-out extension request—your processed summer housing application will be sufficient.
Please monitor your Rowan email for updates regarding your summer housing assignment, including important dates and move-in information.
Nexus Properties
If you are a resident of Nexus Properties, you must return your key and fob to the Nexus office located at 220 Rowan Blvd. Failure to return your key and fob will result in a replacement charge being assessed to your student account.
Please note that the Spring move-out timeline for Nexus residents follows the same schedule as all other buildings.
- For additional move-out instructions, please refer to the move-out guidelines provided by Nexus management for all Spring 2026 residents.
Meal Plans
The last day to use your meal swipes and dining dollars is May 8th. Any dining dollars that remain on your account after May 8th will be forfeited.
- For any questions regarding your meal plan, email mealplans@rowan.edu.
Damage Responsibility Form:

- Log into https://go.rowan.edu/myhousing/
- Click on the “Housing Applications & Forms” tab on the left side of the screen

- If another individual is responsible, please provide their name and any relevant details in the form.
- Damages that are not reported and not documented as pre-existing may be billed equally to all residents of the space.
- Do not attempt to repair any damages yourself, as this may result in additional charges.
