Fall 2026 Move-In Overview:

Move-In for Fall 2026 is scheduled from Saturday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 30th, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Once housing assignments are finalized this summer, all students with a confirmed on-campus assignment will receive an email (via Rowan Student email) with instructions to select a specific move-in date and time based on your assigned building. 

Please refer to the table below for general move-in dates based on building type.

• First day of classes: Tuesday, September 1, 2026
• All students must check in with RLUH staff during move-in to confirm identity, verify vaccination status, and receive their room/apartment key (if applicable).

Move-in Schedule and Details by Building

The goal of the arrival appointment times is to spread out the move-in traffic throughout the day to avoid unintended rushes that make the process difficult to navigate. For the same reason, residents are limited to bringing a single vehicle in the unloading zone for your building during your arrival appointment time.

Appointment Time:

• Your selected appointment time window is specific to your targeted arrival to campus and does not determine the amount of time you have to park in the unloading zone to complete your move-in process. 

• Appointment time slots per window are limited to the number of students with a single vehicle the unloading zone and building can typically handle. If students arrive at a time not selected or bring multiple vehicles into the unloading zone, the process and the unloading area can get overcrowded. This will slow progress and potentially prevent someone from readily having a space to park to unload their vehicle.

• You will be asked to unload your vehicle as quickly as possible once you are parked in the unloading area for your building. Once emptied, the vehicle must be moved immediately to long-term parking. Please review the information about the process in more detail below.                                              
• The deadline to select or change your appointment is Sunday, 8/23.

How to Select an Arrival Appointment Time for Your Move-in Process: 

• Log into MyHousing https://go.rowan.edu/myhousing/
• Scroll down to the “Assignments” section
• Click the “Fall 2026” tab (if applicable)
• Under the “Move-In Fall 2026” option, click the drop down and select your time block.
• Click the “Update My Time” button to secure that time slot.

Check-In Process:  

• At the check-in location for your building, if records from the Dean of Students’ Office or Wellness Center indicate the student has some form of administrative hold, they will be ineligible to complete the move-in process. The resident will not be issued their room or apartment key and will not be permitted to move belongings in before getting clearance from the office responsible for the administrative hold.                                                                                                                      
• Once the check-in eligibility verification is complete, you will be issued your room key without delay, officially marked as moved-in for the Fall 26 term in the RLUH database, and directed to proceed with your move-in.                                                                                                                       
• Please follow Rowan University Police instructions at all times regarding parking and traffic navigation.

***Once parked in the unloading zone, you will be asked to unload your vehicle completely, and a driver in your party will be instructed to immediately move the vehicle to long-term parking. A limited number of push carts will be available to assist with your move-in process; however, many students and families find it helpful to bring their own dollies, hand-trucks, etc. on the chance that a cart is not available to utilize at the time of your arrival.*

Vaccination Requirement:

All students must be compliant with the Meningococcal (Meningitis) Rowan University vaccination requirement. You will not be allowed to move into housing if you have not submitted appropriate vaccine documentation. Our staff will attempt to contact students who are not in compliance with this mandate. However, it is your responsibility to ensure all immunization forms are submitted to the Wellness Center in advance of your move-in date. Housing staff cannot accept medical documentation for vaccines on the date of arrival.
