EMI Expectations

EMI Communication

· Students who are members of an authorized Early Move-in Group are included on a roster provided to RLUH by their groups’ leadership. Once the roster is processed, notification is emailed to all members with recognition of their inclusion with an authorized EMI group and information about when and where they are supposed to arrive for their residential check-in.

 

EMI General Schedule and Check-in Location

Check-Ins before August 22nd

  • Groups arriving on 8/21 and earlier are directed to a central check-in location at Savitz Hall (except for Nexus residents). Specific details are included in the initial EMI email.

 

  • Once checked in, students should proceed to their assigned building to park and unload their vehicle.

 

  • Nexus residents should report to the front desk of 220 Rowan Blvd where their access fob and room key will be issued before heading to their apartment.

Check-in After August 22nd

EMI Groups scheduled to arrive between 8/22 and the start of their building’s official regular move-in date are instructed to check-in at their assigned building.

Details concerning parking and unloading for each building can be found below.

 

Early Move-In parking and unloading information:

Rowan Boulevard & Whitney Center

You may park for free for 30 minutes on the first floor of the Rowan Boulevard parking garage to unload your vehicle. You must move your vehicle within that time frame to avoid charges.

  • Please do not park in a handicap parking spot without appropriate tags or you could be issued a summons from Glassboro.
  • Rowan Bld and Whitney resident vehicles are eligible to purchase permits for the garage. Parking permits go on sale August 1st via the online permit store. Visit the Parking Services web site for more details on parking.
  • Parking permits must be purchased and temporary credentials should be displayed on your dashboard before you arrive.
  • The second level of the Rowan Bld Parking Garage is closed until after the main move-in weekend concludes on 8/31. All long-term parking will be above the second level.
  • Rolling carts are stored in Rowan Boulevard by the mailboxes where buildings 1 and 2 meet, and also on the first floor of the Whitney Center near the mailroom. We have a limited number of these carts available so please return them promptly to the lounge when you have finished unloading
  • Remember your Rowan ID! It is your key to access your apartment in RUBLVD.
TownHouses
Townhouse Complex Map
  • You may park in the lots next to the Townhouse Complex or the Townhouse parking garage to unload your vehicle. Do not drive your vehicle on the sidewalks that connect the buildings.
  • Rolling carts are stored in the Townhouse Community Center lounge and are available to assist you, we have a limited number of these carts available so please return them promptly to the lounge when you have finished unloading.
Edgewood Park Apartments, Magnolia Hall & Willow Hall

  • You may use the Edgewood Park Apartment parking lot off of Carpenter Street to unload your vehicle.
  • For Magnolia and Willow residents, rolling carts are stored in the Magnolia and Willow lounges and are available to assist you. We have a limited number of these carts available so please return them promptly to the lounge when you have finished unloading.
Chestnut Hall

  • You may park in the Chestnut Hall parking lot off of Carpenter Street to unload your vehicle.
  • Rolling carts are stored in the Chestnut lounge under the pillars and are available to assist you. We have a limited number of these carts available so please return them promptly to the lounge when you have finished unloading.
Holly Pointe Commons
  • You may park in the Holly Pointe Commons parking lot to unload your vehicle. If you are permitted to have a vehicle on campus, you will not be able to park in this lot during the main move-in week of 8/28 – 9/3.
  • Remember your Rowan ID and refresh it at the exterior card reader before you present it at any other door! It is your key to access your room. If someone holds the exterior door open for you and you present your ID to an interior card reader on a vestibule, stairwell, or your bedroom without presenting it first on an exterior door card reader, your ID will be damaged.

Mullica & Evergreen Hall

 Evergreen Hall:

    • There are two options for early move-in vehicle unloading. The primary option is to drive through Parking Lot P, with its entrance off of Whitney Ave and park on Trustee Dr. in front of the main entrance to Evergreen. Space permitting, vehicles can park to unload along the curb and then move the empty vehicle to a nearby parking lot.
    • The secondary option is to utilize the small parking lot (Lot T) at the rear of Evergreen, closest to Mullica Hall, with its entrance directly off of Whitney Ave near the intersection of Redmonda Ave and Whitney.
    • Early move-in unloading should take place utilizing the small parking lot closest to Mullica Hall’s entrance (Lot T), with its entrance directly off of Whitney Ave. near the intersection of Redmond Ave. and Whitney Ave.
Mimosa Hall

Mimosa Hall:

  • Early Move-In vehicle unloading should take place as close to Mimosa Hall as possible within Parking Lot W. Mimosa is one of the most interior residential buildings on campus. To access Lot W, enter using North Campus Drive off of Carpenter St, driving past Edgewood Park Apartments (EPA) and Parking Lot B. Once you unload your vehicle, you may need to move it to long-term parking, which can be found in Lot B or the EPA parking lot.
