Move-In Schedule and Process

DATES: Saturday, January 17th - Sunday, January 18th

MOVE-IN TIMEFRAME:

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • To efficiently accommodate the arrival of new and returning spring residents across campus, all residents should sign up for an arrival time window. There are morning and afternoon appointment windows (3-hour time blocks) available for Saturday and Sunday. Please see the instructions on how to sign up for an arrival appointment time below.
  • All residents MUST visit the check-in location for your building for staff to verify your identity and get checked-in for the spring 2026 term. New residents will visit the same location to get checked in, following the process described below.
  • Staff will be available at the buildings to facilitate the administrative check-in process and issue a limited number of moving carts to assist with students moving in between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on both days. (Move-in Volunteers are not available for the Spring term move-in)
  • Once your vehicle is unloaded, it should be moved immediately to long term parking to allow other residents to access the unloading area for your building.
  • The first day of classes for the Spring 2026 term is Tuesday, January 20th
  • For a full description of the process and to find your check-in location based on your housing assignment, please review the information below.

Arrival Time Selection Process

The arrival time windows each day are from 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.  Once the maximum number of slots are filled for a particular arrival time window, it will be closed and you will not be able to select it. Here are the instructions to select an arrival date and time for your building:

  • Log into MyHousing https://go.rowan.edu/myhousing/
  • Scroll down to the “Assignments” section
  • Click the “Spring 2026” tab (if applicable)
  • Under the “Spring 26 Move In” option, click the drop down and select your time block.
  • Click the “Update My Time” button to secure that time slot.

If you have any questions about the move in process, please contact us at housingquestions@rowan.edu

**Required Vaccinations**

All students must be compliant with the Meningococcal (Meningitis) Rowan University vaccination requirement. You will not be allowed to move into housing if you have not submitted appropriate vaccine documentation. Our staff will attempt to contact students who are not in compliance with this mandate. However, it is your responsibility to ensure all immunization forms are submitted to the Wellness Center in advance of your move-in date. Housing staff cannot accept medical documentation for vaccines on the date of arrival.

Returning to the same room/apartment from the Fall semester? (including residents who remained over the winter):

  • Residents who are returning to the same room or apartment from the fall term must report directly to your assigned building to check in with the building staff. If you are in a building that uses hard keys, you must present the room/apt key for verification. This will complete your check-in process for the Spring.
  • If you no longer have your key to your room or apartment, please see building staff immediately upon return to complete your check in process and submit a request for a lock change.
    • If you do not have your key and you arrive outside of the scheduled Spring check-in dates, you can visit the RLUH Office starting on Tuesday, January 20 from 8:30am - 5:00pm, which are regular operating hours for the main office.
  • Residents returning to the same spaces in Rowan Blvd Apts and Holly Pointe, which do not have keys to show, still need to complete the check-in process with building staff. Your process will be completed after your move-in eligibility is verified and you are marked as checked-in for the Spring 26 term.
  • A limited number of push carts will be available to borrow at the check-in location.
  • All residents who remained in their campus assignment over the winter break will still need to complete the check-in process with building staff for the Spring 26 term by visiting the check-in location for your buildings on 12/17 or 12/18.

Moving to A New Room or Are You A New Spring 26 Resident?

  • New residents, or students who are moving into a new housing assignment must visit their check-in location to complete the check-in process...this includes verifying your vaccination compliance and check-in approval status, issuing your room key if applicable, verifying you have your Rowan ID card, and marking you as checked in for the spring term.
  • If you do not have your Rowan ID card, the Rowan Card Office will be open from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM to get a new card made. A loaner access card may be given to you temporarily to facilitate your move-in.
  • If our records indicate you are not in compliance with Rowan's vaccination policy or have a hold on your account for any reason, you will not be permitted to move in.
  • A limited number of push carts will be available to borrow at the check-in location.
  • After 4:00 pm, your building office will post the number for the CA on Duty to be available to check you in. But we do ask that you make every effort to move in during the scheduled times.
  • If you need to move in after Monday, January 19th, you should visit the RLUH Office on the ground floor of Savitz Hall between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
