Moving Procedures

Fall 2023 Move-In

Move-In Schedule:

  • Specific Move-in details have been posted to this Moving Procedures link that can be found on the left side of this page under Move-in. They are also sent to residents' Rowan student email. The main move-in dates are:
    • First Year Students in traditional Residence Halls will move-in Sept. 1st (Holly Pointe only) and Sept. 2nd (Day 2 of Holly Pointe and all other first-year student buildings)
    • Apartment Complexes (non-Nexus) will move-in Sept. 3rd and 4th.
    • The first day of classes is Tuesday, September 5th.

 

  • Each move-in date will have a window of time residents will be able to select to schedule their arrival to campus. All residents with a housing assignment (not Nexus) will have the same opportunity to select an available timeslot. Please check your Rowan email and this web page for details on how to select a check-in timeslot when they are available.

 

  • Nexus Apartment residents will get information about the Nexus process emailed directly to their Rowan email address from Nexus Management. The move-in timeframe for Nexus apartment residents is different than what is stated above. Nexus move-in is scheduled by appointment from August 24th - August 27th.

 

  • More information about all things related to the campus residential move-in process will be added to this page soon, as details are finalized. ALL information will also be sent out via email to Rowan email addresses. Please check your emails and this web page frequently for updates. Thank you!

 

 

 

Vaccination Compliance

Required Vaccination:

For the safety of Rowan University Students, an up-to-date meningitis immunization is required of ALL students prior to moving into campus residence halls. By law, students will not be issued a key or card access on move-in day if the Rowan University Wellness Center records indicate they have not submitted proper vaccination documentation.

Spring 2023 Move-Out

Spring 2023 Check-Out Information

Official Checkout Dates and Instructions (for all students NOT graduating)

Saturday, April 29th - Friday, May 5th: Spring Finals Week. Residents are expected to move out of their space within 24 hours of your last final exam. For those students with a Final Exam on May 5th, the last day to complete your move-out process is Saturday, May 6th by noon.

 ALL STUDENTS MUST OFFICIALLY BE CHECKED OUT BY SATURDAY, MAY 6th at Noon Unless

  • You are a graduating resident, OR
  • You will be transitioning directly into your summer housing assignment (requires summer housing application) on Saturday, May 13, OR
  • You have an approved extension for any other reason.

 Move-Out Instructions For Buildings WITH KEYS:

  • Empty your room/apartment of all personal belongings, including all trash.
  • Follow the steps outlined on the check-out checklist, which can be found here.
  • Return your room/apartment key to the locked drop box for your building- locations can be found here.
  • Complete the on-line check-out process to communicate your departure by following these steps:
  • Log into https://go.rowan.edu/myhousing/
  • Click on Personal Information>>MyInfo>>Select Spring 2023 for the term
  • Answer the following question "Current Spring 2023 Residents Only: I have moved out of my Spring 2023 housing assignment." as "Yes" and click "save"

 Move-Out Instructions For Buildings WITHOUT KEYS:

  • Empty your room/apartment of all personal belongings, including all trash.
  • Follow the steps outlined on the check-out checklist, which can be found here.
  • Complete the on-line check-out process to communicate your departure by following these steps:

  • Click on Personal Information>>MyInfo>>Select Spring 2023 for the term
  • Answer the following question "Current Spring 2023 Residents Only: I have moved out of my Spring 2023 housing assignment." as "Yes" and click "save"

 

 

All Graduating Seniors will follow the checkout schedule below:

Official Deadline to Checkout - Friday, May 12th @ noon.

Saturday, May 6th to Friday, May 12th: Commencement Week- Graduating Residents are expected to move out of their space within 24 hours of your Commencement ceremony. For those students with a ceremony on May 12th, the last day to complete your move-out process is Saturday, May 13th by noon.

  • Empty your room/apartment of all personal belongings, including all trash.
  • Follow the steps outlined on the check-out checklist, which can be found here.
  • Return your room/apartment key to the locked dropbox for your building- locations can be found here.
