Biography

My name is Tiana Howard, and I’m from Trenton, New Jersey—which, yes, is part of Central Jersey! I currently serve as the Graduate Coordinator for Housing Assignments, where you can often find me in Savitz Hall assisting with housing needs and concerns, or in a quiet space studying the social state of the nation.

I am pursuing a Master of Social Work here at Rowan University, which is also my alma mater. As an undergraduate, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with concentrations in Honors and Rhetorical Criticism. My housing journey began at Rowan, where I served as a Resident Assistant for two years. From there, I became a Graduate Resident Assistant for post-educational students at Temple University and later a Resident Coordinator for a student apartment complex in West New York.

Each of these experiences has shaped my passion for supporting students and has led me to my current role in Housing Assignments. I am grateful to contribute to one of the most important aspects of the college experience—housing—and I look forward to continuing to support students at every stage of their journey. Go Profs!
