Crowdfund Your Bill

SponsoredScholar is Rowan University’s crowdfunding solution that empowers students like you to raise money so you can worry less about how you are going to afford your education and spend more time on your classes and studies.

If you have a school bill that you need to pay but cannot afford it, SponsoredScholar can be a great solution for you. Oftentimes, bills of $500 - $2,500 can be the difference between leaving and staying in school. We want to help you stay and graduate.

 How It Works

SponsoredScholar is like GoFundMe in the sense that you create a crowdfunding page (i.e., online fundraising page) where you share your story and accept gifts. However, unlike GoFundMe, SponsoredScholar provides you with a guided, step-by-step process to raise the money you need. All funds are posted directly to your bill, so your sponsors can be assured their gift goes toward fueling your education. 

Campaigns are, by default, 30 days, at which point your campaign turns off and no additional gifts can be made towards your campaign. If you reach your goal before 30 days, this will result in your campaign also ending and turning off.

Requirements

1. Have an active RowanNetID.
2. Create and launch your campaign.
3. Share your page with your community.

Getting Started is Easy!

To raise money for your education through SponsoredScholar, follow these steps:

1. Sign up for SponsoredScholar (click the link below).
2. Complete the guided onboarding process to build your page and launch your campaign.
3. Share your page with your community using the messaging templates provided by SponsoredScholar.
4. Complete any action items in your SponsoredScholar account to maximize your success.
5. At the completion of your campaign, your funds will be posted to your account and automatically applied to your bill.
