Special Rowan Programs

From accelerated degrees, to studying at sea, at Rowan, you are part of something big! We are growing!! With that growth comes a variety of special programs designed to meet the needs of our diverse population of students. Financial aid for each of our special programs is handled differently. The pages below are intended to provide you an overview of the financial aid process for each of our special programs.

Certificate Programs

The availability of federal aid for certificates is unique to each program. Below is an overview of the various certificate types and the types/amounts of financial aid available by program.

3 + 1 Program

The 3+1 program allows students to take courses for three years at Rowan College at Burlington County or Rowan College of South Jersey while paying the tuition rate of the community college. Students then come over to finish their senior year at Rowan University and earn a 4-year bachelor's degree with significant cost savings.

Study Abroad

Participating in a Study Abroad program allows students to take part in a life-changing, global experience. It is important to make sure you meet with Financial Aid to discuss your options for financing your trip to ensure you have the funding you need to maximize this opportunity.

Degree in 3

The Degree in 3 program aims to help students save time and money while pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Rowan Choice

Rowan Choice offers incoming freshmen the opportunity to gain a residential college experience at a fraction of the cost. Thanks to a partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey students enrolled in Rowan Choice earn 24-30 college credits through RCGC, while taking classes at and living on Rowan University’s campus, saving a significant amount.
