Loans
There are several types of loans available to you and your family to pay for your college education. We encourage you to consider which options meet your individual needs. We do recommend you first consider your federal loan options since these typically have lower interest rates than private/alternative loan products.
Federal Direct Loans
Federal student loans are available to eligible students who submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with no credit check, no cosigner, and no collateral; simply your signature and promise to repay.
Parent PLUS Loans
A Parent PLUS loan is a great option to consider if you are the parent of a matriculated, dependent, undergraduate student and need additional funding to pay for college.s.
Grad PLUS Loan
Graduate students are eligible to borrower higher amounts of federal loans than undergraduate students due to increased costs of graduate school and also since parent income is not considered when awarding graduate student aid.
Private/Alternative Loans
Rowan University does not maintain a preferred lender list for private alternative education loans, nor are we able to recommend specific lenders. However, over the last several years, our students and parents have used the lenders found on the list provided in the link below to meet their education loan borrowing needs.
