2011 Lindback Award Winner: George Romeo
George Romeo has been teaching at Rowan University for almost 32 years, primarily in the area of financial accounting. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Drexel University while teaching full-time and raising three children. His research interests lie in three areas: pedagogical topics in accounting, 19th century accounting history, and International Financial Reporting Standards. Even though his professional certifications are currently inactive, he has been a CPA (certified public accountant), CIA (certified internal auditor), and CMA (certified management accountant). Since 1997, he has published 26 peer-reviewed articles and has been voted "teacher of the year" six times by students in the College of Business.Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
