Leadership Conferences & Retreats

Leadership Rowan offers several on-campus conferences and off-campus retreats over the course of the academic year for students to participate in. These typically include keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and lots of interactive opportunities for students to develop their leadership.

EMERGING LEADERS CONFERENCE
Held during the fall semester, the Emerging Leaders Conference is a great way for new students to jump-start their leadership and campus involvement, and an opportunity for upperclassmen to further develop their leadership skills and mentor younger students.

ROWAN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
The Leadership Summit is an end-of-the-year leadership conference which showcases and develops student leadership in a variety of ways. This event is co-facilitated by a student planning committee, and also features numerous leadership workshops and breakout sessions facilitated by a mixture of students, faculty and staff members. The Summit is followed by the annual Celebrating Leadership Awards, which recognizes exception student leaders, student organizations and their advisors for their contributions to campus and the community.

ASPIRE Leadership Development Retreat
The ASPIRE Leadership Development Retreat (Achievement, Success and Progress Through Initiative, Respect and Excellence) is an intensive, interactive, three day leadership experience. Originally implemented as the Students of Color Leadership Development Experience in the fall of 1987, ASPIRE utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to empowering students academically, civically, and professionally through leadership training development, skills enrichment, networking, and collaboration.
