Understanding Chapter Statuses

Good Standing
An organization in good standing with Rowan Fraternity & Sorority Life is current with all requirements set by the Office of Orientation & Student Leadership Programs, is not under review by the Office of Community Standards, and has no outstanding or pending sanctions.
Inactive
An organization with inactive status is still recognized by Rowan University but currently has no enrolled student members. To return to good standing, the chapter must initiate new members within an allotted timeframe; otherwise, it risks losing university recognition.
Structured Accountability Plan

An organization on a Structured Accountability Plan is in a probationary period following a policy violation confirmed by the Office of Community Standards. During this time, the chapter is expected to demonstrate a commitment to meeting the behavioral expectations outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. The organization must complete specific requirements, maintain regular communication with the Fraternity & Sorority Life team, and show progress toward accountability and improvement. Each plan is tailored to the nature of the violation, and any additional misconduct during this period may result in more serious disciplinary action.
