The transition from High School to College may seem daunting. Join us for a discussion highlighting the similarities, differences, and strategies you need to have a successful first semester.

Creating Your Journey to a Healthcare Career: Chamberlain Student Center Ballroom - Window Side

An interactive workshop designed to help you visualize your journey to healthcare. We will review healthcare paths and plan your journey, starting with your time at Rowan University and moving forward toward your interested healthcare career. 

It's OK to Ask for Help!: Chamberlain Student Center, Room 144

Transitioning to college can be overwhelming. For incoming students with disabilities, there can be additional challenges and decisions to be made, such as registering for accommodations and adapting to a new lifestyle. This workshop will showcase a panel of current Rowan students with disabilities sharing their lived experiences on topics including: transitioning to college, benefits of registering for accommodations, the importance of self-advocacy, and utilizing campus resources, and knowing that "It's OK to Ask for Help" along the way.

 "Will you say I do to the [major] that you've chosen right here, sight unseen?" Like marriage, deciding on a major can be a big deal. In this presentation we will review how to make an informed decision on major choice(s). Come join us if you are feeling unsure of a major decision!

Finding Where You "Fit" to Create the Best College Experience Possible: Discovery Hall, Room 409

As you embark on your journey ahead, have you taken time to ask yourself what you would like your experience at Rowan to look like? Transitioning from high school to college is often full of adjustment as students lean into their independence and create their own path forward. Come play some games and meet some fellow first-year Profs while we discuss how to find where we “fit” at college by examining our values, interests, and ways of connecting. All this is an effort to build connections and create the best college experience for YOU.
