Orientation Fee

Orientation Fee

About Your Orientation Fee

The fee is added to your Bursar account and can be paid via Self-Service Banner Bursar Services ePay Center when tuition bills post.

We anticipate fees for the 2025 orientation programs to be:

First-year students: $250

Transfer students: $125

This is a one-time charge covering all new student orientation programs. The fee is the same amount for all program types (online, in-person, summer, fall, spring, etc.) and covers program-related expenses. These include:

  • Staffing: wages for Peer Referral and Orientation Staff and professional administrative staff who plan orientation programming
  • Online reservation system and online education software
  • Mailings and printed materials: invitation postcard and postage
  • Materials: such as orientation folder, planner, t-shirt, etc.
  • Meals: food for students and guests at all orientation programs
  • Activities for new students: cost of student events at the beginning of the semester

I don't need all of that. Can I get my fee reduced?

Unfortunately, orientation services are not available à la carte. We are cost-conscious when designing our programs while best supporting a student's transition to college. We receive the lowest possible pricing on food, publications, materials, and other items by ordering enough in bulk for all new students. Please attend as many orientation events as you are able - get your money's worth!
