Meet the Orientation Assistants 

Annie Busarello

Senior, Advertising

Audubon, NJ

Annie works as a front desk worker for Suite 220 in the Chamberlain Student Center, as well as an Outreach and Special Events Intern at the College of Communication and Creative Arts. She serves as the Student University Programmer’s Director of Charitable Events and the Student Alumni Association Philanthropy Chair. Annie is active in the Public Relations Student Society of America as well as the Women’s Chorus.

Allison Niemiec

Senior, Psychology & Law/Justice

Cedar Grove, NJ

Allison currently works as a Schizophrenia Spectrum Lab Assistant. She serves as the president of the Anime Club and is a member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity. 

 

Chase Pecoraro

Senior, Public Relations

Middletown, NJ

Chase works as a Resident Assistant and for the Rowan Blog. Chase is involved with the Student Alumni Association.

Yasmine Abed

Junior, Psychology 

Trenton, NJ

Yasmine is a sister of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, works as a resident assistant on campus, and serves as a Freshman Leadership Involvement Program (FLIP) mentor. She is a first generation student and volunteers with the Student University Programmers. She is the secretary of the Rowan Homeless Outreach, the Student Government Association Assistant Vice President of Club Development, and an undergraduate coordinator for the Office of Volunteerism, Community Engagement & Commuter Services.

 

Luis Acevedo

Sophomore, Chemistry

Camden, NJ

Luis is part of the ASCEND (EOF/RISE) program as well as Rowan at Camden. Luis is a first generation student and is involved with Rowan University at Camden Alliance of Student Activities (RUCASA).

 

Elijah Adegboye

Senior, Biological Science

Elijah is part of the ASCEND (EOF/RISE) program. He is involved with the Minority Biomedical Science Association and the Chemistry Association Society. Elijah is currently a student worker for the Rowan University Political Science and Economics Department.

Rumaysa currently works as a resident assistant on campus. Rumaysa is involved with the Women of Color Collective, the Pre-Health Society, Patchwork, and the Dr. Harley E. Flack Mentoring Program

Haley volunteers with the Student University Programmers. She currently works as a member of the Rowan Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team.

 

Johan Burke

Johan is a member of the Thomas N. Bantivoglio Honors Concentration in the Honors College and works as a computer science research assistant. Johan is the Vice President of the Anime Club, a member of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computing and Informatics Honor Society, a member of the Chess Club, and a spirit committee member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.

 

Mariana Cardenas

Mariana serves as a United Latinos Association Senator and the Co-Chair and Vice President for Colleges Against Cancer. Mariana is a first generation student and is a member of Prism, Circle K, and volunteers with the Office of Volunteerism, Community Engagement & Commuter Services. Mariana also participated in Alternative Spring Break at the Carolina Tiger Rescue.

Autumn works as an Admissions Ambassador and a Peer Mentor with the Office of Social Justice, Inclusion, and Conflict Resolution. Autumn is a member of the Rowan Select program. She works with the Rowan Television Network and the Freshmen Leadership Involvement Program (FLIP). Autumn is a first generation college student.

Dominique is a member of the Thomas N. Bantivoglio Honors Concentration and works in the Chamberlain Student Center Game Room and Profs Place. Dominique is a member of Animal Advocacy Club and the Japanese Cultural Club. She also practices akido and archery at the Rec Center and performs in the Women's Chorus. 

 

Robert Emmanuel

Robert works as an Admissions Ambassador on campus and is the President of the Rowan Student Investment Group and the Vice President of the Financial Management Association. Robert also serves as the Student Government Association Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Operations.

Steph currently performs in Concert Band and is a sister in the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority.

Cam currently works as a Rowan Rec Center Intramural Official, a Resident Assistant, and a social media student worker with Web Services. She serves as the Student University Programmers Director of Marketing and plays club soccer. Cam is also a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, American Sign Language Club, Student Alumni Association, Leadership Rowan, and the Rowan Intramural Recreational Sports Association.

Mia is a transfer student from Stockton University and Camden County Community College. Mia worked as a Resident Assistant and an Outreach and Special Events Intern with the College of Communication and Creative Arts. She was a sister of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, the secretary for the Student University Programmers, and a member of the Student Alumni Association. She was also a member of the Tau Sigma Transfer Honors Society, the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society, and the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.

Flack Mentor, a Commuters at Rowan club member, a transfer mentor, an SJICR peer mentor, a member of the EOF executive board, and a member of the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. He serves as a member of the SJICR Retreat Planning Committee, a member of the Office of Community Standards Hearing Board, and a Project Leader of the Cyber Security Cub.
