Faculty Center For Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Teaching with purpose. Scholarship in action. Community through practice.

The Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Rowan University cultivates meaningful, cross-university connections that support individual growth, strengthen community engagement, and advance excellence in teaching, scholarship, and creative practice. It serves faculty, librarians, and the institution through programming and services in three key areas:

  • Faculty Induction and Ongoing Support
Orientation and mentoring for new faculty and librarians, alongside sustained development throughout their careers.

  • Professional Learning for Reflective and Research-Informed Teaching
Programming focused on evidence-based pedagogy, inclusive teaching strategies, and the design of learning environments that are accessible, relevant, and engaging for all students.

  • Institutional Change through Teaching, Scholarship, and Creative Work
Programs and partnerships that support faculty in applying inclusive approaches, reimagining curriculum and practice, and fostering innovation across teaching, scholarship, and creative work.
