Our Graduates @Work
Graduates of the Health Promotion and Wellness Management (HPWM) program have skills and experience which make them employable in jobs with growth potential and upward mobility. Our HPWM program provides students with relevant academic training and professional development opportunities, which makes them highly-desirable in the job market.
"The HPWM's lessons on health behavior change are one of the most valuable take-aways from my time at Rowan. Throughout my career, I've used components from many of these theories to better serve communities suffering from cancer, obesity, and high rates of preterm labor." Anthony Johnson '06, Clinical Operations Manager, McKesson, Inc.
"To me, the most valuable part of the HPWM program was the variety of the classes required in the program. I got a taste for Exercise Physiology, Public Health, Nutrition, and Health Behavior. I changed disciplines in my career from fitness to public health and I am so glad I had foundational knowledge across multiple disciplines to easily make that transition." Brittany Raup, '10, M'17 Oncology Grants Manager, Inspira Health Network
"The opportunities that Rowan offered me, such as Healthy Campus Initiatives, GetFIT and the National Wellness Institute Student Chapter, helped develop my teamwork and leadership skills. They got me to where I am now, excelling in my current management role." John George '16 Director of Member Services, Rohrer Center for Health and Wellness, Virtua Health Systems
