Dr. Kaitlin Mallouk, Associate Professor in Experiential Engineering Education, treats teaching as an iterative engineering design process—constantly refining classroom experiences to maximize student learning and instill enthusiasm for engineering. Since joining Rowan as a tenure-track instructor in 2013, she has pioneered innovative learning activities within the Engineering Clinics and graduate programs, using evidence-based assessment and reflective practice to foster deep student engagement. Her grant-funded scholarship in STEM equity and faculty development directly informs her classroom environment and her dedicated mentoring of students and future educators. By modeling a lifelong commitment to developing as a teacher, she empowers students to bridge technical expertise with professional impact. A recipient of the ASEE Mid-Atlantic and Rowan College of Engineering Teaching Excellence Awards, Dr. Mallouk is a recognized leader in pedagogical excellence.
