Human Resources
Special Announcement:
Covid Protocols: The Human Resource Office does not have a waiting area, therefore, at this time, advanced notice of your visit will be required so we can appropriately escort you to your meeting location. Please call us when you arrive for your scheduled appointment to gain access to the building. We will escort you in as soon as possible. The number of in-person appointments will be limited and webex and phone appointments are still encouraged. Scheduling priority will be given to services that must be in person such as I-9 verification.
Please remember that employees and students are required to wear face coverings in all indoor public/shared areas on campus.
You can reach the Office of Human Resources by calling 856-256-4134 or by email hr@rowan.edu.

Critical Exception Authorization Form
Effective immediately, the Critical Exception Authorization Form has been automated to expedite requests through the approval process. To access the form, Log into Self-Service Banner, then go to the Employee tab, and click on the Employee Dashboard. From the dashboard, click Submit Electronic Forms then go to the Critical Exception Authorization Form option under the Human Resources section of the page. You will then enter the information and submit for approval.
As of June 1, 2020, the Office of Human Resources will no longer accept Critical Exception Authorization requests in paper form or via email. Instead, all such requests must be submitted electronically in order to obtain authorization to hire both hourly workers and student workers and to request permission to post job announcements and make job offers. Human Resources will fully approve requests once the FTE Committee has reviewed and approved requests and/or external grant funding has been confirmed.
Upon approval of critical exception requests, no requests are authorized to proceed further unless and until departments also obtain approval though their typical processes (i.e. hourly and student worker EPAF’s, job cards, and offer cards).
Any questions regarding this new process may be directed to employment@rowan.edu.
