Supervisory Skills Certificate Program
The HR Supervisory Skills Certificate Program is designed to provide an opportunity for supervisors and managers with limited to moderate supervisory experience to enhance their leadership capabilities. Participants will be required to attend all of the training sessions in the program to obtain the certification.
Individuals interested in participating in the program will need to obtain approval from their manager and then submit the application (linked below). Applications will open in November and will be due by January 3, 2025. Applicants will be notified of the application decisions in mid-to-late January.

- Effective Communication Skills Development
- Conflict Resolution Strategies
- Enhancing your EQ (Emotional Intelligence)
- Leadership Dynamics Part I
- Leadership Dynamics Part II
LinkedIn Learning
Participants will be required to complete three elective LinkedIn Learning supervisory skills-based classes (topics that are not covered in the in-person sessions). Multiple course options are provided and participants will select the three that they are the most interested in.
Eligible Participants
- Supervisors in their first supervisory capacity position at Rowan or in general
- Supervisors with limited to moderate supervisory experience
- Supervisors interested in a professional development opportunity to enhance their leadership skills
