The SFRA is a mandatory agreement that informs students of the financial responsibilities associated with enrolling for classes at Rowan University and explains the potential consequences that may be incurred if a student fails to meet those obligations.

The purpose of this agreement is to help our students understand the cost of their education and the financial policies associated with their enrollment at Rowan University.  This agreement, in conjunction  with our website, the ePay Center, letters/e-mails, and other documentation, helps define the University’s expectations for payment, and allows us to clearly inform students of our policies related to e-billing, late payment penalties, contact methods, etc.

The SFRA must be completed at least once per calendar year.

All students are ultimately financially responsible for their student account, including any unpaid balances should the third-party payer not pay completely.  In addition, students often accrue charges on their student account which may not be covered by University aid or a sponsor (e.g., parking fines, library fines, etc.)  Therefore, completing the SFRA is an acknowledgement of a student's responsibility for their student account.

It is common for students whose tuition and fees are funded to accrue charges on their student account that are not covered by the University and/or outside sources of aid. For instance, students may be sponsored for tuition and fees only and have housing charges for which they are responsible.  Student accounts also reflect items such as parking fines.  In these instances, students are financially responsible for those additional charges and, as such, must accept the SFRA.  Additionally, in the event there is a change of circumstance in a funding source, students are responsible for the any resulting balance due.

Rowan University must have a means in which to contact students regarding their academic and financial obligations and requirements. The SFRA applies to any contact made regarding your financial obligations to the University.

Once the agreement is completed, students can proceed with registering for courses.

The 1098-T will no longer be mailed to you unless you request, in writing, to have a paper copy sent.  If you wish to receive a paper copy, you must send your request via email to bursar@rowan.edu from your Rowan University e-mail account.  Please note that paper copies of the 1098-T form can only be mailed to the address that appears on the form itself.  Otherwise, you may print a copy of your 1098-T form via Self-Service Banner.
