Health Insurance Plan Options for International Students

• 12 month coverage from August 1st through July 31st (Spring semester coverage is January 1st through July 31st). All matriculated international students are automatically enrolled in this plan unless an approved ISI or ISO plan is purchased and you waive out of the Rowan University SHIP.

• The plan is ACA compliant and includes access to Aetna's national PPO network of providers.

ISI, International Student Insurance

• Coverage term options: 
  • 12 months: August 1st through July 31st
  • Fall only: August 1st through December 31st
  • Spring: January 1st through May 31st or Spring & Summer: January 1st through July 31st
• This insurance is not subject to and does not provide certain insurance benefits required by the United States’ Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”).

• The ISI Student Defender Plan includes a network of medical professionals, including physicians and hospitals, known as the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). This PPO is available through the Aetna Passport Network.
