Veteran and Active Duty Rowan Students
THANK YOU to all of the United States military Rowan University student veteran’s. Whether you have completed your service or are currently serving, we want to express our biggest gratitude for your sacrifice and bravery.
This website purpose is to assist in navigating the available resources to you, on and off-campus. Whether it is related to mental health, physical health, finances, academics, etc… we want to be able to guide you with your transition to student life. The following resources will continue to evolve so please check back.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Call 988
- A new prompt offers the option of pressing #1 and connecting directly to a special Veteran’s Affairs (VA) suicide crisis line and staffed by mental health professionals 24/7.
Mental Health Services
Mental Health Services at the Wellness Center
All Rowan students, including active and veteran-status military service members are eligible for counseling services through the Counseling & Psychological Services department at the Wellness Center. Services include consultations and individual therapy. Veteran’s will be able to make an appointment to schedule an evaluation by calling the Wellness Center at 856-256-4333 during it’s semester business hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-6:00pm and Fridays, 8:00am-4:30pm. Student Health Services at the Wellness Center
All Rowan students, including active and veteran-status military service members are eligible to be seen by a medical practitioner for medical concerns, such as illness through the Student Health Services department at the Wellness Center. Please contact the Wellness Center at 856-256-4333 to inquire about whether your medical concern would be best addressed through an urgent care or through your primary care provider. Call 911 for any emergencies. See below for resources provided by the VA.

Veteran Student Organization (VSO)
The Veteran Student Organization was established in 2007 to address the needs and interests of student veterans at Rowan University.
The VSO is a non-political social organization devoted to the interests of student military veterans and those who support them. The objective of VSO is to develop and promote an environment in which student veterans and civilians can network and be an integral part of the Rowan Community.
