International Student
International students experience a number of stressors that increase their incidence of depression and suicide. Some common challenges include adjustment to a new culture, feeling misunderstood and isolated, pressure of having to learn a new language, abuse, academic difficulties, interpersonal conflict, homesickness and having to navigate different social and cultural norms.
It is important to know that there is help. CPS provides free services to students in a safe, non-threatening environment. For students 18 and over, we do not share any information with other members of the Rowan Community or any family member.
We invite you to come in and talk with one of our staff members so that, together, we can understand what is going on and how to help you. In addition, we recognize that feeling comfortable with your therapist is important, and we will make every effort to match you with a therapist who fits your needs.

Who is it for?
Uwill is most appropriate for students whose concerns are a good fit for brief services and whose scheduling needs may not fit with available on-campus services.
When is it not a good fit?
There are some times when on-campus services are a better fit. These include: having thoughts of self-harm or thoughts of harming others, having an ongoing mental health concern, are currently experiencing significant disruption in your tasks of daily living or intense symptoms related to a diagnosed mental health condition or needing long-term mental health support. Please call CPS if you are experiencing any of the above.
