Curriculum Submission Deadlines, AY 2022-2023
Fall 2022 proposal submission deadlines:
Proposals should be approved by the Department, Dean, and College on or before Friday, October 7, 2022. Proposals received after October 7 may not be reviewed until the Spring 2023 semester.
Spring 2023 proposal submission deadlines:
Proposals should be approved by the Department, Dean, and College on or before Friday, February 17, 2023. Proposals received after February 17 may not be reviewed until the Fall 2023 semester.
Important Notes on OnBase Effective Dates:
- Proposals should be approved by departments, by dean’s offices, and by college curriculum committees on or before the deadlines listed above. Adhering to the deadlines will help ensure proposals are processed in the same semester in which they are submitted.
- OnBase is configured for proposal effective dates to be a minimum of one year out (e.g., Fall 2022 proposals are effective Fall 2023), so proposal sponsors always should plan for one year to implementation.
- Curriculum proposals are not considered active until after they are approved by the Department, Dean, and College, and are officially in the Senate Curriculum Committee review queue. To ensure a proposal retains its original effective date (i.e. the date associated with the original proposal date/term of submission), sponsors should complete in a timely fashion all revisions called for in the pre-Senate review process, as failure to do so will automatically push the effective date forward by one semester (e.g. from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023).

Submitting Curriculum Proposals Through OnBase Curriculum Review Application
Overview
Beginning in Fall 2019, sponsors/co-sponsors of curriculum proposals will submit their proposals using an application called OnBase. OnBase provides a paperless process that will automatically route proposals to the appropriate parties, allow users to keep track of revisions, and provide status updates. The curriculum approval steps are the same, only the submission process has changed. See Curriculum Proposal Approval Steps
