Biography

Kara serves as an International Advisor and Designated School Official (DSO), which includes processing and advising new students regarding the Form I-20 and other immigration requests.

Kara graduated from Peirce College in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and from Saint Joseph’s University with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. Kara came to the United States as an international student from Canada – she is a first generation, non-traditional and international student university graduate. During her time as an international student, she was fortunate to have two on-campus roles working with the international student population which is where she discovered her passion for international education.

In Spring of 2025 she started her position at Rowan University as an International Advisor. As someone who has navigated the journey of being an international student, Kara enjoys working with her fellow international students and looks forward to working with incoming and current students.
