Student Health Services is able to diagnose and treat most illnesses in our office.  Students with more serious illnesses or conditions will be referred accordingly.  The following resources are helpful for students looking for medical care in surrounding communities.

Know Before You GO! Not Knowing Could Cost YOU!

Here are a few easy ways to find out if a doctor or other health care providers are covered by your health insurance plan:

1. Visit your health plan’s website and check their provider directory, which is a list of the doctors, hospitals, urgent cares, and other health care providers that your plan contracts with to provide care.
2. See your health plan’s provider directory. You can get this by contacting your plan or visiting the plan’s website.
3. Call your insurer to ask about specific providers. This number is on your insurance card and the insurer’s website.
