Meet the friendly faces of the Student Health Services Staff! We are here to help you be well, stay well, and learn healthy habits. 

JAMES BAILEY, D.O. | Managing Physician
Dr. Bailey is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received a scholarship as an Undergraduate Fellow in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He completed his medical internship in the Crozer-Keystone Health System and then on to Temple University Hospital for his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His interests include musculoskeletal medicine, OMT, spasticity management and pain management. He is currently on staff at the Rowan University Neuro-Musculoskeletal Institute in addition to serving the students at Rowan University.

RANDI BOUCHER, B.S.N, R.N., C.B.C. | Staff Nurse
Randi Boucher graduated from Holy Family University in 2009 with a BSN and has a background primarily in maternal/child health. Her specialty includes working in labor and delivery and postpartum nursing and is a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. She also worked in endocrine at CHOP for some time. Boucher began working at Rowan in 2019 as a per diem nurse and really enjoys working with the students and getting to be a part of this exciting time in their lives. She loves to travel and spending time with her family and friends.

Natalie Brewer NATALIE BREWER, B.S.N., R.N. | Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse 
Natalie Brewer came to Rowan University in August 2017. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. She has 10 years of nursing experience in the emergency department and has worked in urgent care and telemetry/post-surgical settings prior to coming to Rowan. Natalie enjoys educating students on health and wellness as well as spending time with her family and friends, exercising and a good cup of coffee. She also serves as an Advisor for Rowan EMS.

STEPHANIE BROWN, B.S.N., R.N. | Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse
Stephanie Brown came to Rowan University in December 2006. She has worked in medical/surgery & telemetry in hospital settings. Stephanie graduated in 2001 with a B.S.N. from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. In October 2011 she completed a certificate program in case management.

 Marta Diaz-Pupek MARTA DIAZ-PUPEK, D.O., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.O.P. | Managing Physician
Dr. Diaz received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Prior to joining Rowan University, Dr. Diaz was employed at Nemours in Wilmington, Delaware where she worked as a primary care physician for just over 12 years and an urgent care physician for just over 10 years. Dr. Diaz enjoys teaching her patients about preventive medicine: how to stay healthy (wellbeing) and safety. She also enjoys volunteering and was on the Board of Directors for Delaware Guidance Services for Children & Youth, Inc for 18 years. She is currently a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald’s House-DE, and she is currently Vice-President of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) and has been involved with this organization in different committees providing advocacy for children, adolescents and young adults. She has been involved with continuing medical education (CME) for healthcare providers for many years as both Program Director and as a presenter at national conferences.

 Kathleen Dolan KATHY DOLAN, M.S.N., F.N.P.-B.C. | Nurse Practitioner
Kathleen Dolan joined the Student Health Service staff in 2015. Kathleen has a background in Orthopedics/Trauma, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Emergency Department, Pain Management and Telemedicine. Past employers include Hahnemann, Thomas Jefferson, Lankenau and Kennedy Health Systems. In addition to inpatient, outpatient and ED experience, Kathleen is experienced in home care and hospice. Kathleen received B.S.N. and M.S.N. degrees from Drexel University and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kathleen served on a medical mission to Haiti in 2013. Kathleen enjoys educating students on health and wellness and spending time with family and friends antiquing, enjoying the creative arts and sports.

 Anne Domico ANNE DOMICO, R.N. | Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse
Anne Domico graduated from nursing school at Abilene Christian University in Texas. She was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. Anne has worked in a variety of nursing fields before coming to Rowan University in 2005. Anne loves working with all the students here at Rowan University.

JENN FRATINI, R.D. | Registered Dietician
Jennifer Fratini graduated from Drexel University in 1997 with her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Food Science. Jennifer completed her Dietetic Internship through Immaculata University at the Philadelphia Veteran's Hospital. Jennifer is a Registered Dietician with 14 years of experience in the nutrition field and has had a variety of work experience in hospital settings, Eating Disorder Programs, Rehabilitation Centers and General Nutrition Education.

 Ann Grasso ANN GRASSO, R.N. | Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse
Ann Grasso graduated from Gloucester County Community College School of Nursing in 2006. She worked in the Rehab Unit at Lady of Lourdes Medical Center for 3 years as well as private duty nursing. Ann came to Rowan in 2009 and recently completed a sign language course at Gloucester County Community College. In her spare time Ann enjoys yoga and other fitness activities.

GENEVIEVE PLAZZO, B.S.N., R.N. | Staff Nurse
Genevieve Palazzo graduated from Gloucester County College School of Nursing in 2014 and completed her Bachelors of Nursing from Wilmington University in 2016. She has been working as an ER nurse since graduating.  She recently joined the Student Health Center in September of 2019.  She loves to spend her time with her husband and son, having dinner with friends and relaxing by the pool or beach.

CARL SCHOPHER, D.O. - Family Practice | Managing Physician
Dr. Schopher graduated in 1972 from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. He went on to interned at Cherry Hill Medical Center (Kennedy Hospital, Cherry Hill). Dr. Schopfer has been in Family Practice since 1979 and currently has a practice in Clayton, NJ.

 Alicia Spataro ALICIA SPATARO, B.S.N., R.N. | Staff Nurse
Alicia Spataro is a full time Staff Nurse at Student Health Services with almost two decades of nursing experience. She came to the Wellness Center in January 2017 and took a full time position that August. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at the Helene Fuld School of Nursing in 2000 and graduated from Devry University’s Chamberlain College of Nursing with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. Alicia has previously worked as a nurse for 4 years at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, Kennedy University Hospital’s ICU for 12 years, Atlanticare Urgent Care Centers for 5 years and has done home infusion nursing as well. Alicia enjoys all things pumpkin spice, especially coffee, spending time with her family and friends, and educating students on health and wellness at Rowan University.

Charmaine Thomas CHARMAINE THOMAS, M.S.N., F.N.P.-B.C.  | Nurse Practitioner
Charmaine Thomas joined the Student Health Service staff in 2018. Charmaine has a background in Emergency Medicine (Adult and Pediatric), Cardiac Medicine, Intensive Care, as well as Adult and Pediatric Primary Care. Past employers include Shore Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and CAMcare Health Corporation. Charmaine received her B.S.N. from the University of Delaware and M.S.N. in Family Medicine from Stockton University. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Charmaine focuses her care on teaching individuals about their conditions as well as wellbeing. In her spare time she enjoys participating in dance classes and spending time with family and friends.
