What can you expect in the application process?

Create your account by submitting an inquiry form. You will receive login information by email. Submit your application by logging in to the portal with your username and password. Click on Apply Now. |

Your application will be reviewed and approved. You will receive an email letting you know that there is an update to your application. Log in to view your Offer of Admission and then click Accept Offer of Admission. |
Student Accounts |
After you have confirmed your offer, you will receive an email with instructions for setting up your Rowan NetID (your official student account, including access to online courses, Rowan email, and more). |
Registration | Once you are officially a Rowan University student, the advising team and academic department will assist with registration and preparation for classes starting October 29. You will receive an email with registration confirmation, instructions for logging in to your class, and textbook information. |

Why sign up for the program?
Combine Education and Trade: Pursue technical training locally and earn a degree from Rowan University without choosing between the two.

When does the program start?
The first cohort of the Construction Management Certificate program starts Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
When is the application deadline?
The application deadline for Fall 2024, Module 2 is October 15, 2024.
The application deadline for Spring 2025, Module 3 is January 7, 2025.
How do I submit my transcripts/transfer credits?
High School Transcripts
Have your high school send your official high school transcript electronically to the Office of Admissions at Rowan University. If necessary, your official high school transcript can also be mailed to:

Please request your official transcripts to be sent directly to Rowan from the issuing institution for processing. Transcripts emailed or mailed from students are not considered official.
If your transferring institution uses a third-party vendor to send transcripts electronically, you can use the following email to have them sent to us: electronic-transcripts@rowan.edu.

How long will it take me to complete the program?
For students who take 2 classes a semester, the estimated completion for the following programs is:
- CM Certificate: 2-3 semesters
- PM Certificate: 2-3 semesters
- BA Degree: Duration varies based on transferred credits
I'm not sure which program is the best fit for me. Who can I talk to?
Can I attend part-time?
Absolutely. Students in the Construction Management program can complete coursework at any pace that works best for them. Your Program Mentor can help you map out a plan.
How many credits will transfer from my apprenticeship?
Please speak with your Program Mentor to discuss credit transfers and a transfer credit evaluation.
New Student FAQs
How do I access my Rowan accounts, including email and online classes?
You will receive an email and instructions for setting up your Rowan NetID.
Once your NetID is active, please start checking your Rowan University email on a daily basis.
You are able to add your Rowan email account to the Gmail app and the Mail app for iPhones. For more information, click here.
To access all of your accounts in one place, log into MyRowan. Online courses are housed in Canvas, which you can access through MyRowan. You can favorite specific accounts and websites to keep your dashboard organized. Check out this MyRowan video tutorial to learn more about how to use myRowan and customize your view.
Am I required to attend Orientation?
You will be enrolled in an online Orientation housed in Canvas, plus RowanCONNECT, our online student community. There is no in-person Orientation requirement.
Do I need a Rowan University ID card?
You have the option to get a RowanCard if you would like access to campus amenities such as meal plans, building access, housing, etc. Submit your photo for your RowanCard by following the submission instructions and guidelines. Once your photo is approved, you will receive an email with further instructions. If you have any questions, please contact the RowanCard Office at 856-256-4663 or rowancard@rowan.edu
What is a proxy and should I set one up?
You have the option to set up a proxy, which allows you to grant someone (or multiple people) the ability to view your student information, such as grades, financial aid, and course schedules. The person who is granted access to your information is referred to as a “proxy.”
Once someone is designated as a proxy, you may also choose to grant them FERPA authorization, which will allow them to speak with Rowan University administrators.
Classes and Registration FAQs
How do I register for classes?
Your Program Mentor will register you for classes and provide confirmation by email.
Do I need textbooks? Where can I purchase textbooks?
Yes, most Construction Management courses require a textbook. Your Program Mentor will include textbook information in your registration confirmation email.
Textbooks can be purchased/rented online from https://rowanbookstore.bncollege.com/ or from alternate online sources. View our Barnes and Noble textbook search and purchasing guide here.
What is the structure of the classes?
All classes in the Construction Management program are fully online and run asynchronously. Classes run in 8-week modules and are structured by week. Classes start on a Tuesday and the week runs through the following Monday. Typically classes require participation in a discussion board no later than Friday, and assignments and quizzes due by the Monday evening. Office hours and meetings are not required, but faculty are available to meet remotely. Faculty are also available for questions by email, and can be emailed directly from the course.
All online courses are housed in Canvas.
How many hours per week should I expect to spend on my coursework?
You can expect to dedicate 6-12 hours per week/per class for the Construction Management program.
Are there any required class meetings?
All coursework is fully online and does not require any meetings. Optional cohort-based meeting times may be scheduled for specific classes.

What is Canvas and how do I get started?
Canvas is Rowan University’s online learning platform. Go to my.rowan.edu and click on Access My Courses on Canvas to get started.
Courses in Canvas are typically available 4 days before the semester begins. Students are encouraged to review the course and syllabus during this preview period.
Academic Success
What resources and supports are available to me as a Rowan student?
There are many resources available, including Tutoring, Success Coaching, the Writing Center, and much more. Check out this page of the website for a list of resources.
I had an IEP in high school - are accommodations available at Rowan?
The Office of Accessibility Services provides accommodations and assistance to students with various documented disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.

Grades and Transcripts
How do I view my grades?
During your coursework, check your grades regularly within your Canvas course.
Final grades will be posted in Self-Service Banner.
How do I obtain a copy of my transcript for my union/employer?
If they will accept an unofficial transcript:
- From myRowan, select View Unofficial Transcript
- On the transcript page, Print Screen and save as PDF
If you require an official transcript:

How do I obtain an enrollment verification?

Tuition and Billing
When will I receive my tuition bill and what is the payment deadline?
Students will be registered for classes approximately two weeks before the module start date. Tuition bills will be available in Self-Service Banner. On the Bursar tab, select e-Pay Center, and then View Bill and Make a Payment.

How do I access my billing information?
Log in to Self-Service Banner and select the “Bursar” tab on the main menu
To view your bill:
- Select “Official Billing and Account Statement,” which will provide you with a real-time summary of your semester account statement
I have a question about my tuition. Who should I contact?
- All billing inquiries are handled by the Office of the Bursar
- Questions about Financial Aid should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid
Can I use my GI Bill?
Please connect with the Military Services Office to discuss.
What is eRefund?
The Office of the Bursar requires students who expect to receive a refund to enroll in our eRefund service. eRefunds are sent electronically via direct deposit to a designated personal checking or savings account. For more information on eRefunds and how to enroll, please click here.
