Confluence by Michele R. Gutlove

This is an impressionistic sculpture of the confluence of the Delware and the Schuylkill Rivers-dynamic art in glass, color and light.  Rowan University commissioned this art to reflect the institution's place in the community and its dynamic presence in Camden's environs, culture and history. Inspired largely by the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers, it celebrates how community and University, past and future flow together to shape life in the region as the rivers did for Native Americans long before Camden and Philadelphia were founded.
