Rowan University ProfPals
What is ProfPals?
ProfPals is a program designed to help all students at Rowan feel a sense of connection and belonging while facilitating student engagement with the Thrive dimensions of well-being.
What does all that mean? It means that ProfPals help students by highlighting events on campus that might be of interest, going to events and bringing others along for the ride, and being a connection students can have on campus. Students are encouraged to reach out to a ProfPal to make a connection - especially if they are finding it challenging to make connections, or attend events. The ProfPal will assist students with engaging in various events and activities on campus, highlighting all of the wonderful resources Rowan has to offer.
How do I reach out to a ProfPal?

Hi everyone, I’m Pia from Germany! I’m completing my Master's of Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain and Logistical Systems, and I just started my last semester. I also work as a building manager at the Rowan Recreation Center. If you see me on shift or in the Zumba and Yoga group fitness classes, come say hi! I love sunshine and good weather, the ocean, reading books of all genres, and listening to music, especially all songs by Harry Styles. When I’m not too busy with assignments, I like to go for walks on campus and hang out with my friends. I also love to cook vegetarian meals at home. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone around and getting to know you better!

Hi! I’m Prateek and I’m currently a junior here at Rowan. I have a big interest in photography, videography, and all things creative—so you’ll probably spot me around campus with editing a project or hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy playing soccer, volleyball, and spending time outdoors to recharge. As a ProfPal, I’m someone who loves connecting with others through shared interests, whether that’s being active, talking about creative projects, or just having good conversations. I’d be a great fit for students looking for motivation, time management skills, a creative perspective, or simply a supportive peer to hang out with on campus.
Hello! My name is Genevieve Rosenberger, and I’m a senior. My major is Psychology, and my minor is Sociology. I am the president of the Neurodiversity Club on campus. My favorite thing to do in my free time is watercolor painting, as well as listening to music and attending concerts. A way I want to improve my well-being is by being more financially responsible as well as becoming more physically active. I’m always open to connecting with other students, and I love making new friends. My main passion is providing a safe space and community for both neurodivergent students and allies. Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Edwards, and I am a Public Health and Wellness major here at Rowan. I’m passionate about creating spaces where students feel connected and supported. On campus, I serve as the President of the Public Health and Wellness Club, the Fundraising Chair of the Ballroom Club, and I’m also a member of the Archery Club. This fall, I’ll be going into my second year as a Community Assistant, a role that’s taught me so much about building community and helping others thrive.
Outside of my involvement on campus, I’m a huge nature lover! You can usually find me bird watching, hiking, dancing, or getting lost in a good book. One of my goals this year is to focus more on my physical and financial well-being, whether that’s staying active, budgeting smarter, or learning better self-care habits.
I’m always excited to meet new people and help them find their place on campus. If you ever see me around, don’t hesitate to say hi. I’d love to connect!

Hi, I am Grace! I’m from Long Beach Island, NJ and have a Siamese cat, Piper. I am a senior studying history education in the 4+1 BA/MA program. I will have a CUG in Mental Health and Trauma and a CUG in African American Studies. I did transfer my junior year and originally went to Ocean County College where I received my Associate's in Education. While at Rowan, I am on the service committee for Circle K and a member of the ASL Club, Colleges Against Cancer Club, Prism Club, and the Early Childhood Education Club.
I frequent the Rec Center for the yoga and cycle classes. A way I maintain my well-being is by painting, photography, sewing, scrapbooking, baking, and reading. Historical romance and romantic comedies are my favorite genres, but I do enjoy reality shows too. Board games and card games are one of my favorite ways to hang and know others. I look forward to getting to know you, improving our well-beings, and am always willing to talk about shared interests!

Hi! I'm Lindsay and I've been at Rowan for almost 9 years. I majored in Psychology in college with a minor in Studio Art. I love anything involving sports and competition, so don't be surprised if you see me at the Rec Center playing pickleball or out on the softball field. Some of the ways I tend to aspects of my well-being include reading a good book (and talking about it), playing board games, and doing anything outdoors. I'm excited about working with the ProfPals because I believe our students can learn such important information from one another, and I want all of our Rowan students to feel connected and supported.
