Center for Well-Being Signature Events

The Center for Well-Being hosts multiple signature events annually. These events engage with the Rowan community and utilize the Rowan Thrive Outcomes. These events include:

  • The Profs for a Purpose: Suicide Prevention Walk
  • Recharge and Connect Retreat
  • Ask Me Expo: This event brings together various departments at Rowan that are pertinent to the success of a student. Students have the opportunity during this full-day event to stop by and ask questions to one or all of the departments with the convenience of having all resources together in one location. Some examples of previous student questions: "How can I successfully withdraw from a course?" "Do I qualify for a Federal Work Study program?" "I am struggling in my current science course. How can I schedule with a tutor?"
  • Profspective Series: This series includes multiple mini pop-ups throughout the fall and spring semesters. Students have the opportunity to drop-in and listen or actively participate and engage with the panelists, which include various members of the student, faculty, and staff populations.
  • State of Mind (Formally Fresh Check Day): This new and engaging event will launch in the fall of 2025, bringing lots of new and innovative ways for students, faculty, and staff at Rowan to take some time to focus on the importance of their mental health and overall well-being. The sessions and activities are thought-provoking and allow individuals to take important skills away.

Additionally, the members of the ProfPals Program host weekly drop-in sessions for students to build their sense of purpose, community, and social buckets.
