Enjoy a change of scenery as we gather in Business Hall with friends, colleagues, and members of the Rowan community from all three campuses. Guest speakers from throughout the year will also be welcomed back to campus, making this event a WAN-of-a-kind networking opportunity!
You can look forward to mocktails, light refreshments, games, giveaways, resource tables, and a fun-filled environment suited for introverts and extroverts alike! So mark your calendars and come celebrate another successful year of WAN programming.

Cooking to Fuel Your Connections

Join the Rowan University Women’s Alliance Network in its presentation of “Cooking to Fuel Your Connections. Chairperson Chrissy Beswick will moderate and introduce special guest speakers: Dr. Nawal Ammar, Connie Correia, and Dr. Gaetane Jean-Marie who will share recipes tips and stories of personal connections through nutrition. This event highlights how to stay centered in the busy holiday season, while celebrating diversity and family traditions this holiday season.
WAN aims to connect the power of food and nutrition, and use that connection to fuel ourselves physically, socially and mentally. We will feature tips on inclusion, human connection, nutrition, and mindful eating over the holidays with an infusion of personal stories.
In this 60-minute virtual event, our guest speakers will present a dish and/or drink that is meaningful in their lives, is a holiday or family tradition or part of their cultural preservation. A short story related to the inspiration of the dish will be the center of the guest speaker’s contribution.
Each guest speaker will submit their recipe for a special cookbook that will be available to the Rowan Community.

One of the most successful women in the Washington, D.C., business community, Jean has been long-focused on sharing her personal and professional insights to help women and future business leaders succeed.

Jean is co-founder of Edelman Financial Engines, a dedicated Glassboro State College alumna and a best-selling author.
