Original Event Date:
June 16, 2020 // 12:00pm
The transition to remote learning for young children has been challenging. Schools are closed, kids are separated from their teachers and friends, summer camps are being cancelled, and parents have been thrown into home schooling. For parents who are not teachers and are also trying to manage their own workload during summer, it is a daunting task to keep children engaged in learning. Many people don't know where to look for educational activities and are overwhelmed. Drs. Isik-Ercan and Kye shared ways for parents, guardians, caregivers, and others to support young children during the summer through play, active learning and STEM experiences!

For many, being confined to our homes coupled with the stress of remote working and learning, the pandemic has contributed to the "quarantine 15." Whether we find ourselves snacking out of stress or boredom or lacking exercise without those walks across campus, it is vital to maintain our health in these unusual times. Dr. Adarsh Gupta specializes in medical weight loss and metabolic disorders. He develops programs specifically tailored to meet individual needs, as there is no ‘quick fix’ or a one-size-fits-all solution to weight loss. Whether your goal is to lose weight for cosmetic reasons or due to health problems, Dr. Gupta provided tips to help you develop a healthy, enduring change so that you can stop worrying about weight loss and start enjoying life.
