WAN Mentor Match: Speed Networking for Mentorship

The Women's Alliance Network (WAN) invites you to join us for an inspiring and energetic Mentor Match Event featuring Speed Networking for Mentorship! This event is tailored to foster connections between aspiring professionals and seasoned mentors through a series of rapid, engaging conversations. It’s an excellent chance to explore potential mentorship relationships, share experiences, and build a supportive network.
By registering for this event, you are also signing up for the WAN Mentorship Program. If you are unable to attend the Mentor Match event, you can still participate in the Mentorship Program and may be matched with a mentor or mentee post-event.
Event Highlights:
- Speed Networking Sessions: Engage in multiple rounds of quick, structured conversations with potential mentors and mentees. Each session lasts just a few minutes, offering a snapshot into each participant's background, interests, and mentoring goals.
- Networking Opportunities: Enjoy time to mingle and connect with fellow participants. Beverages will be provided to create a relaxed and friendly networking environment.
- Post-Event Matching: At the end of the event, participants will have the opportunity to express their preferred matches. Our team will facilitate and contact final pairings based on mutual interest and compatibility. Those unable to attend the event will also be considered for matches based on their provided information.
Who Should Attend:
- Potential Mentors: Experienced professionals eager to share their knowledge, offer guidance, and support the growth of others in their careers.
- Potential Mentees: Individuals seeking mentorship to enhance their skills, navigate their career journeys, and achieve their professional aspirations.
Suggestions on How to Prepare:
- Bring Your Bio: Prepare a concise introduction about yourself, highlighting your professional journey, interests, and what you are looking for in a mentorship relationship.
- Bring Your Business Cards or LinkedIn QR Code: Share your contact information easily to facilitate follow-up connections. This will help you stay in touch with those you meet and continue conversations beyond the event.
- Be Open and Engaged: Approach each conversation with an open mind and a genuine interest in learning and sharing. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with individuals who can play a crucial role in your career development.

Health & Resilience: A Survivor's Story and Expert Panel on Preventative Care

Join us for an inspiring and educational event, "Health & Resilience: A Survivor's Story and Expert Panel on Preventative Care." This event is designed to highlight the importance of proactive healthcare through the compelling story of a cancer survivor and insights from a panel of healthcare experts.
This event will feature the following:
- Various campus & community partners tabling including, but not limited to: Create Urgency, Rowan University Human Resources (Benefits Team), Gourmet Dining & their Campus Dietitian, Cooper University Women In Medicine, Shreiber Family Pet Therapy Program
- Opening Remarks from our featured guest speaker: Ms. Queen Stewart of Create Urgency
- A prevention care expert panel moderated by Dr. Mara Gordon, featuring the following panelists from CMSRU & Cooper University Health Care: Dr. Dan Hyman, Dr. Robin Perry, Dr. Catherine Loveland-Jones, and Dr. Philip Fizur

Winter Wine & Networking

Join us for an enchanting Winter Networking Social hosted by the Women's Alliance Network (WAN) at the scenic William Heritage Winery. This event offers an evening of networking and connection in a cozy winery setting during the winter season. Guests are invited to enjoy the ambiance, purchase their favorite wines from William Heritage Winery, and enjoy this opportunity for social engagement.
