Kha' Sadler, Psy.D.
Dr. Kha' Sadler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002 from Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ. She later secured full-time employment in 2002 with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families within the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, formerly the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). During her ten-and-a-half years of employment, she functioned as a case manager for three years and later as a juvenile court liaison for the remainder of her career. She has gained an insurmountable amount of knowledge in child protection and child welfare, childhood trauma, juvenile delinquency, and the impact of mental health and substance abuse on children and families.
Dr. Sadler later earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology in 2008 from Eastern University located in St. Davids, PA, and later received a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in 2014 from Immaculata University located in Immaculata, PA. Dr. Sadler's professional interests and clinical experience include anxiety, depression, trauma, dating violence, romantic relationships, first-generation and low-income students, diversity issues related to racial identity and development, spirituality, and religion. Her integrative theoretical orientation includes Psychodynamic, Multicultural Counseling, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Sadler has been afforded the opportunity to present on local and national platforms, including but not limited to the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the Caribbean Alliance of National Psychology Association (CAPA), and a myriad of colleges, universities, and K-12 school districts, and counties within the tri-state area.
She is also the founder and owner of U Good F.A.M.? LLC which stands for Fostering and Advancing Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being for Students of Color. She is also a provider for a nonprofit organization Black Men Heal. With conviction and a destined mandate to bring about healing and change to the lives of all youth and young adults, Dr. Sadler is determined to undoubtedly ask: "U Good F.A.M.?" to demonstrate her commitment, care, concern, love, and interest in the well-being for this generation and the generations to come.
Dr. Kha' Sadler is an Associate Provost for Wellness and Inclusivity at Rowan University. She is also a proud mentor and advisor to several student clubs and organizations. Dr. Sadler is a servant and transformational leader for the times and notes: "If I can help somebody along the way, then my labor will not be in vain.
