Compliance Training
Training for Rowan Employees:
Only Rowan Employees will have access to the new Rowan Training Portal powered by HealthStream, a web-based learning management solution designed to help organizations of all sizes, create, manage and conduct regulatory and required training for staff members.
There is a different training platform for Rowan Students and Affiliates.
HIPAA Training for Rowan Students/Affiliates:
Mandatory HIPAA Compliance 101 on the KnowBe4 training platform.
HIPAA Medical Research Training for Rowan Students/Affiliates (Research/IRBs):
Mandatory HIPAA Compliance 101 and HIPAA Medical Research 109 on the KnowBe4 training platform. CITI training is also required through Research Compliance.
Students/Affiliates involved with Research/IRB projects must request access to HIPAA Compliance 101 and HIPAA Medical Research 109 in the KnowBe4 training platform by contacting the IRB Program Coordinator or the Compliance Manager, Kathy Alburger, alburgka@rowan.edu.
The IRB Program Coordinator or Compliance Manager will submit a support ticket with the Information Security Office to grant the student/affiliate access to complete the two required HIPAA courses. They must have their Banner ID, Rowan email and phone number.
