Rowan After Hours Staff

The Rowan After Hours (RAH) staff is primarily responsible for staffing the late night and weekend programs. In this position, you will be honing your event management, leadership, and customer service skills. Team members must be flexible, demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, and value constructive feedback. This is a great way to get involved, grow as a leader, and is the first step in becoming a RAH coordinator! 

Marketing Team The SCCA marketing team is responsible for providing marketing materials for Rowan After Hours, Student University Programmers, as well as larger department initiatives such as Welcome Week, Homecoming, and Prof’s Place To Be/Game Room events. The marketing team is responsible for completing 8-12 office hours per week, providing knowledge of up-to-date practical software or equipment, completing assigned projects, and more. Positions available within the marketing team are: Photographer/Videographer & Graphic Designer
Information Services Specialist

Information Services Specialists serve as the welcoming face of the Chamberlain Student Center and are the primary information resource to the Rowan University community and its guests.  Customer service responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating the university switchboard; cash, credit, and RowanBucks sales; responding to customer needs via in-person interactions, e-mail responses, and phone calls; staffing the Rowan Information Desk; and facilitating transactions for the Equipment Rental Program and/or ticket sales. This is a great opportunity to network, develop critical employment skills, and build a resume for any career path!

Event Assistant

The Event Assistant’s role is to assist the Student Center Event Services team in pre and post event communications and logistics.  The Event Assistant will also serve as an on-site resource during special events and other major events such as conferences, banquets, pageants, and more. This role will also work collaboratively within the Student Center Event Services team to ensure that all customers receive exemplary service and ensure that all guests have a welcoming and positive event experience.

Building Operations Assistant

The Building Operations Assistant role is to assist the operations team on tasks around the building, including room set ups and making sure the Student Center maintains a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, staff and community. This role will work collaboratively with the Event Assistants and Building Managers to ensure that all events are set up correctly and efficiently. This position is a great way to get involved with the SCCA and learn to work with a team of other student leaders. 

Audio & Visual Assistants The Audio & Visual Assistants (AVA) team is responsible for setting up and maintaining technology in the student center and providing additional support for special events. The Audio & Video Assistants will serve as an on-site resource during special events and ensure that the technology runs smoothly during all events, including hybrid/virtual events. Audio & Visual Assistants also work collaboratively within the Student Center Event Services & Building Manager team to ensure that all customers receive exemplary service and that all guests have a welcoming and positive event experience.
